With humble beginnings on Birch St. in Kennett Square starting out as just a body shop, Bavarian Motorsport has matured into a trusted mechanical repair shop and full service car dealership in the borough. Back in 1990, a European body shop owner was becoming well-known for not his body work, but for the mechanical and technical skills he demonstrated on European model vehicles. A Hungarian immigrant, he worked with his father on his trade at an early age here in the U.S. Owners of BMW, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and other European models kept coming in at higher and higher numbers for service and repairs. The Business manager and other owner eventually decided to hire another mechanic and effectively transformed the body shop into a repair facility and again later into a dealership. We moved to our current location in 1995 which made it possible to provide a larger inventory to the public. This Technician and Business manager duo are husband and wife and still run the company today with me, their daughter. We love this town and are excited for its promising future!
Showcasing over 70 years’ experience with European cars, Bavarian Motorsport is equipped to handle complete service for your vehicle and is an Official PA inspection station. We are a service-oriented facility with a full repair shop specializing in European vehicles but perform work on all makes and models including classics. Carrying scan tool equipment, like a franchise dealer does, sets us apart from most small shops. We only source genuine parts for every vehicle that comes through our shop plus utilize premium synthetic oil and high-grade premium products so you're in the shop less. This includes all inventory. We strive to develop a personal relationship with every client and our highly trained staff has the tools to leave you feeling knowledgeable about repairs performed on your vehicle. Provided to you by our service department is a courtesy 30-point vehicle inspection which can be emailed to your phone. This inspection is performed during any and every service and provides you with the overall health of your vehicle systems by using green, yellow and red indicators (green is healthy and red means needs replacement or work) which can help you prioritize your repairs. This service is at no cost to you, unlike at the factory dealer who will charge for this. A fully licensed PA independent dealer, our pre-owned cars for sale include many fine makes and models and we service what we sell with OEM original manufacturer parts so you know you're getting a quality car. We specialize in European cars such as Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz but frequently have other used cars for sale in stock. Tax, Tags, and registration fees are additional; we can issue your registration here. We collect sales tax for PA buyers only. Out of state buyers are responsible for payment of sales tax and registration fees in the state of their residence. Trade-ins are accepted. Financing and warranties are available to all qualified buyers on qualified vehicles.
