Wow what fun. Where can you find something like this with such low miles in this condition? 5 Speed manual transmission with removable sunroof and power Windows- luggage cover. Don't miss the opportunity to own a Porsche for under $10,000.Designed by Harm Lagaay and produced in Neckarsulm, Germany- the 944 was built by Porsche from 1982 to 1991. Its predecessor ,the 924, was a joint venture between Porsche and Volkswagen. But after some controversy the car evolved into the 944 in 1982 . Over 163,000 944s were produced, one of the most successful Porsche's built. The car had nearly even front to rear weight distribution (50.7% front/49.3% rear) thanks to the rear transaxle/rear wheel drive balancing the front engine . The factory-claimed 0-60mph time of less than 9 seconds and a top speed of 130mph at a 147 hsp. In mid-1985, the 944 underwent its first significant changes. These included: a new dash and door panels, embedded radio antenna, upgraded alternator (from 90 amp to 115 amp), increased oil sump capacity, new front and rear cast alloy control arms and semi-trailing arms, larger fuel tank, optional heated and powered seats, Porsche HiFi sound system, and revisions in the mounting of the transaxle to reduce noise and vibration. The early 944s were upgraded to new "phone dial" style wheels from the cookie cutter Fuchs. For the 1987 model year, the 944 Motronic DME was updated, and newly incorporated anti-lock braking ABS and airbags. We welcome trades and can recommend financing .
