2006 Cayman S

This stunning Cayman S with clean Carfax was purchased in May 2017. The new engine has approximately 11,000 miles on it and has been gently used. It is fully documented. As a small ticking sound progressed, it turned out to be scored cylinder bores. One could choose to rebuild the old engine or replace the engine to keep the car on the road. With the rest of the car in great shape, the decision was made to have Porsche of Delaware install a Porsche crate engine at 53,700 miles (over $24k net after Engine Core credit) Part Number 987-100-921-BX, which replaced everything from catalytic converter forward except A/C compressor. It has 4 Michelin Super Sport tires-New at 57,500 miles, new battery at 59,000 miles, transmission fluid changed at 61,000 miles (per Porsche 12-year service interval), new antifreeze and steering fluid when water pump replaced at 58,500 miles. Recent oil and filter change in November 2020 at 64,400 miles.
